A House of Many Doors is a 2D top-down exploration RPG. The game mixes procedural generation with hand-crafted narrative content – the player will explore a vast parasite-dimension known as the House, guided by their Navigator through proc-gen nightmare architecture towards narrative hubs with extensive stories and quests.
This is an RPG focused on story and characters rather than combat and loot. It takes inspiration from Sunless Sea, FTL, Planescape: Torment, the literature of China Mieville, Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, and that feeling you get when you’re alone in a big dark house.
